
GANG MEMBER PLEADS GUILTY TO FEDERAL GUN CHARGES

Gulfport, Miss - John Buster Jones, 24, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, pled guilty in federal court
on Monday, July 23, to making a false statement in connection with the purchase of a firearm,
United States Attorney Gregory K. Davis announced.
Jones, a member of the Latin Kings criminal street gang, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in
prison and a fine of $250,000. He signed a preliminary
order of forfeiture to forfeit one Roman/Cugir, 7.62 caliber rifle, and one Glock,.40 caliber
pistol.
Jones will be sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola, Jr. on October 22, 2012.
